Report: Chiefs cut Aaron Murray
Denny Medley / USA TODAY Sports
The Kansas City Chiefs have released quarterback Aaron Murray, a source told Pro Football Talk.
The Chiefs' recent signing of Nick Foles likely sealed Murray's fate. The Chiefs were rumored to have placed the 2014 fifth-round pick on the trade block in recent days, but apparently found no suitors for the SEC's all-time leading passer.
With the recent injury to starter Teddy Bridgewater, it's possible Murray will receive some interest from the Minnesota Vikings. If not, he may have to wait for another quarterback to be injured before finding his next team.
