Twitter goes after wrong Brandon Marshall for kneeling during anthem

Another season, another case of Twitter mixing up Denver Broncos linebacker Brandon Marshall and New York Jets wide receiver Brandon Marshall.

Broncos' Marshall became the latest NFL player to protest police brutality and race relations Thursday, taking a knee during the playing of the U.S. national anthem prior to Denver's season opener against the Carolina Panthers. This upset some Twitter users, who then decided to call out Marshall.

Problem is, their tweets were directed towards the wrong guy.

It's usually the linebacker being mistaken for the more well-known Brandon Marshall on Twitter, so now the Jets star knows what it's like to have confused football fans blowing up his mentions.
