Rex Ryan has done his best to keep public emotions in check this season, after failing to deliver on his 2015 playoff guarantee, but he's showing a different side to his troops.

The Buffalo Bills head coach let loose at the beginning of training camp in front of his players and a camera crew filming the team-produced documentary, "Rex and Rob Reunited," that aired on Buffalo-area television Saturday. While Ryan has downplayed his job security to the media, he sent a different message to his team.

"Everything's questioned," Ryan told his players, according to ESPN's Mike Rodak. "I forgot to how to f---ing coach. 'The players don't respond to Rex, he don't know what the f--- he's doing anymore.'"

Ryan also told his team the "best revenge is massive success".

"That's where I'm at," said Ryan. "It ain't about being No. 1 in defense, No. 1 in offense, whatever. No, it's about us in this room, holding this damn trophy saying we won the whole motherf---er.

"That's where I'm at. Don't be afraid of it. I don't give a s--- who knows it. Here we are. Here the f--- we are. That's who the f--- I am."

While Ryan is confident, he admitted to potentially being out the door at season's end if his plan doesn't work out.

"I'm going to tell you we're the f---ing best because I believe it," said Ryan. "Let me f---ing say it. And if it doesn't work, I'll be the first motherf---er that goes. And everyone one of you, I f------ know you've got my back. All I want is every f------ thing you got. I'll take every f------ bullet known to man."

Ryan's Bills had a rough start to the season, losing several key players to injury and suspension, and losing their season opener to the Baltimore Ravens by an ugly 13-7 scoreline.

They'll look for their first win against the New York Jets this Thursday.
