Hall of Fame head coach Bud Grant sounded the Gjallarhorn ahead of the Minnesota Vikings' first game at U.S. Bank Stadium.
Grant coached the Vikings from 1967-83, and again in 1985, posting a 158-96-5 record during his tenure with the club.
The Vikings likely plan to feed off Grant's winning aura against their NFC North rival Green Bay Packers.
