Cowboys' Dez Bryant: Salvages night with late TD
Bryant caught three passes for 40 yards and a touchdown on six targets in Sunday's 31-17 win over the Bears.
Analysis:
Bryant hurt his knee on the game's opening drive and subsequently missed a few snaps, but he otherwise rarely left the field. However, he may have been impacted by the soreness, as NBC's broadcast showed him getting medical attention on the sideline. Bryant still managed to salvage his night -- at least to some degree -- catching a 17-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter to give Dak Prescott the first passing score of his career. Oddly enough, Cole Beasley finished the night as the team's season-long leader in targets, receptions and receiving yards. While that obviously won't hold up unless Bryant suffers an injury, he probably won't get the consistent volume that's typical for elite wide receivers. Granted, that could change later in the season when Tony Romo (back) returns. For the time being, Bryant should enjoy a Week 4 matchup against a fast-paced San Francisco squad that was chewed up by Russell Wilson, Doug Baldwin and Jimmy Graham In Week 3.
