Bears' Cameron Meredith: Rise in playing time on horizon after White injury

Meredith is the favorite to take over most of Kevin White's (leg) playing time after White was placed on injured reserve Wednesday, Adam Jahns of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Analysis:

After White left the Week 4 contest against the Lions, Meredith caught four of his five targets for 28 yards. Meredith has played in 11 games since joining the Bears in 2015, catching 17 passes for 172 yards, which comes out to just 10.1 yards per reception. He'll likely get an extended look at taking over the role at least until Marquess Wilson (foot) is eligible to return in Week 7. Meredith could be a potential fill-in for fantasy teams dealing with injuries and bye weeks.
