Redskins rookie claims permanent sight damage from concussions
Washington Redskins rookie linebacker Su'a Cravens has a scary claim about the effects of concussions early in his career.
The 21-year-old missed Sunday's win against the Baltimore Ravens with a concussion suffered in Week 4.
Cravens recently made a claim on his Snapchat account that he's having trouble tracking moving objects with his eyes, according to Fox Sports' Cameron DeSilva.
"Due to my concussion my eyes have lost the memory to keep track of moving objects, so I have to wear (glasses) for the rest of my life," said Cravens.
Cravens posted a short video to his Instagram account on Tuesday after being prescribed glasses - apparently due to his head injuries.
CSN Mid-Atlantic's JP Finlay reports that sources close to the situation say there is "zero truth" to the rookie's claim.
Cravens is still in concussion protocol, but due to Tuesdays typically being a day off for players, he could be cleared on Wednesday.
