Drew Brees may not win the argument to be the best quarterback in NFL history, but he is the best at throwing 400 yards in game.
With his 465-yard performance in a win over the Carolina Panthers Sunday, the New Orleans Saints quarterback broke the record for most 400-yard passing games in a career, surpassing Peyton Manning. The big day was the 16th time Brees broke the single-game 400-yard barrier in his 16 seasons in the NFL.
Brees, who tossed four touchdowns in the game, also became the sixth player to throw for 50,000 yards with one team, joining Manning, Brett Favre, Dan Marino, Tom Brady, and John Elway.
The 37-year-old sits third all-time in career passing yards.
