Smash Mouth come to 49ers GM's defense
Smash Mouth, the '90s alt-rockers behind hits like "All Star" and "Walkin' on the Sun," are also big sports fans who occasionally like to share their hot takes on Twitter.
The band previously argued against Marshawn Lynch being Hall of Fame worthy, called out LeBron James, and now, they've come to the defense of San Francisco 49ers general manager Trent Baalke.
It all started after KNBR host Ray Woodson suggested in a tweet that the 49ers should fire Baalke.
@RayWoodson680 Baalke is one of the best GM's in the league point blank. The usage and discipline of players he's drafted has not worked out

@mm3813 @RayWoodson680 You ever speak with him? He's much too smart to let anything get in the way. He doesn't own the team.

From there, it becomes clear that Smash Mouth aren't fans of Jim Harbaugh or Chip Kelly.
@mm3813 @RayWoodson680 The biggest mistake by the 49ers was pulling Alex Smith as starter during a successful season and that was all HARB!

@RayWoodson680 Come on guys Chip Kelly's system is total crap! #DefenseKiller btw, Baalke has had a job in the NFL since 1998.

They also apparently have sources on the team.
@stressure @mm3813 @RayWoodson680 @CoachJim4UM Have you talked to any player who played under Harb? We have,....
