Jerry Jones on what would force QB change: 'You'll know it when you see it'
Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones says he can't describe a scenario in which his team would make a move to insert Tony Romo as starter ahead of Dak Prescott because he doesn't even want to think about it happening.
"You'll know it when you see it," Jones said on 105.3 The Fall in Dallas on Tuesday, according to ESPN's Todd Archer, when discussing the specific conditions that would lead to a quarterback change.
Both Jones and head coach Jason Garrett insisted after Sunday's loss to the New York Giants, a game in which Prescott struggled, that they have no plans to bench their rookie passer.
Jones said the Cowboys want Romo to be ready to go into a game at a moment's notice - words some may see as Jones leaving the door open just a crack for a potential quarterback change.
