Burfict apologized to Brown for illegal hit during playoffs

Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown revealed Tuesday that Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict apologized for an illegal hit that knocked the All-Pro out of last season's wild-card game.

Burfict delivered a helmet-to-helmet hit on Brown, giving the Steelers' superstar a concussion in the process. The Bengals were penalized 15 yards, and the Steelers rallied on the same drive to kick a game-winning field goal.

The illegal blow created further animus between both teams, and Burfict served a three-game suspension to begin the 2016 season.

"(He was) just saying he didn't have no intentions of trying to injure, that it was a football move," Brown told ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.

Brown said he's moved on from the hit.

"I don't have no issue with any guy. I'm a football player. I'm a competitor," Brown said. "When we're in the field, we're going to compete and be competitive. It's not personal between none of these guys. It's all in the game. ... I represent the Steelers. It's all business."

The Bengals and Steelers square off Sunday in Cincinnati.
