No timetable for NFL's investigation into Elliott's conduct

Commissioner Roger Goodell stated Wednesday there's no timetable for the NFL's investigation regarding a potential violation of the personal conduct policy by Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott.

Elliott is being investigated for an alleged incident of domestic violence that occurred in July.

Goodell spoke Wednesday on a number of league issues, including the status of the Oakland Raiders' and San Diego Chargers' stadiums.

He said the NFL is working through their investigation of Elliott with great detail.

"The best way be fair to a player is to be thorough and to take our time to get it right," Goodell said via ESPN's Todd Archer. "That is what we're working at. We have professionals that are working on this. We're not putting a timetable on it. We want make sure that they get it right and get all the facts when they reach a conclusion we'll all know about it.

Elliott could face a six-game suspension if found guilty of violating the NFL's personal conduct policy.
