Elliott will still make donation to Salvation Army despite no fine

Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott promised to match whatever fine he received from the NFL for jumping into a Salvation Army kettle after scoring a touchdown Sunday with his own donation to the charity.
It turns out the NFL won't fine the rookie, but Elliott says that won't prevent him from making the donation:

Credit to the NFL for making the right decision here, and credit to the young tailback for doing so as well.
