Elliott: It's sad NFL is 'so strict on celebrations'
While he wasn't fined for his Salvation Army pot celebration, Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott still doesn't agree with the NFL's policies on the matter.
In his first taste of the pros, Elliott is enjoying a record-setting yardage pace, but the electric rusher wishes he could get more joy out of the game.
"I think it's actually kinda sad, because it's something I looked forward to when I was growing up - being able to have more fun, being able to loosen up, being able to celebrate," Elliott told Mike Fisher of 105.3 The Fan. "So I think it's definitely sad that the NFL is being so strict on celebrations.
"We're the best at what we do - I think we should have a little bit more leeway. We could be able to have a little more fun. It's more entertainment for the fans. I think they're taking a little of the fun out of the pro game."
