Wilson contemplating shedding knee brace vs. Lions
Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson may have returned to full strength just in time for his team's wild-card game against the Detroit Lions.
Wilson fought through ankle and knee injuries and sported a brace for the majority of the season. Ahead of his team's most important game of the year, Wilson appears to be ready to play unimpeded.
"I don't have to keep wearing it, I'm contemplating what we're going to do here," Wilson said Thursday to ESPN's Sheil Kapadia. "My leg is good. I think it's just more a safety thing. I don't think it's necessarily bad or necessarily have to or anything like that."
Wilson rushed for a career-low 259 yards and one touchdown this season and was forced to get the ball out of the pocket at a much faster rate. Unfortunately for the Lions, Wilson could be rearing back into top gear at the most inopportune time.
