Ex-Eagle wonders why he was traded for Dion Lewis, gets hilarious response
Free-agent linebacker Emmanuel Acho was once traded for New England Patriots running back Dion Lewis, who set a postseason record Saturday by scoring rushing, receiving, and return touchdowns in a win over the New England Patriots.
The trade occurred in 2013, when Acho was part of the Cleveland Browns and Lewis was a member of the Philadelphia Eagles.
After watching Lewis' historic game Saturday, Acho wondered how anyone could have traded him in exchange for the dynamic runner.
To think, I got traded for #DionLewis back in 2013.... someone needs to be fired for that. He a beast!

He didn't have to wait long for a reply. Former Browns executive Joe Banner tweeted back, joking that, while he had been the one to ship Acho off for Lewis, he was fired anyway.
I traded you for Dion and got fired. Go figure ! Hope you are well. https://t.co/bVpX0uBUEo

Banner was let go in 2014 after just 16 months with the Browns. His time with the team wasn't a success, but at least he made Acho happy.
Ha. I'm eternally grateful you got me out of Cleveland! https://t.co/XVA1NVHS9q
