Giants' Ben Edwards: Spends season on injured reserve

Edwards (knee) spent the 2016 season on injured reserve, ESPN reports.

Analysis:

Edwards suffered a torn ACL in May and reverted to injured reserve after clearing waivers. He'll hit the open market in the offseason but will likely need to show that he's fully recovered in order to land another contract.
