Belichick wore suit, actually smiled at Super Bowl Opening Night
Bill Belichick's trademark hoodie with cutoff sleeves was nowhere to be seen at Super Bowl LI Opening Night on Monday.
Instead, the longtime New England Patriots coach wore a suit to the event - which meant he was better dressed than Atlanta Falcons coach Dan Quinn, who wore a polo shirt.
Belichick did seem to promise the return of his trademark attire for Super Bowl Sunday, telling reporters, "I'll have one by the end of the week so maybe you'll recognize me."
The 64-year-old even cracked a few smiles, a rare sight for the famously sour and serious boss.
One moment where he briefly let his guard down was when Jimmy Kimmel's sidekick Guillermo asked him to sign his soccer ball. Belichick cracked a smile but refused to sign, saying, "It ain't a football."
