Former Ohio State safety and top NFL draft prospect Malik Hooker will miss the scouting combine after undergoing surgery to repair a torn labrum and a hernia, Bleacher Report's Matt Miller reports.
Hooker reportedly played through the injuries late in Ohio State's season and will be ready for his first training camp as a pro, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
The sophomore was a unanimous All-American selection as an in 2016, his lone season starting for the Buckeyes, and is widely expected to be a first-round pick.
