Brady ranks Edelman's catch among greatest he's ever seen

New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady was effusive in his praise of his teammates following Sunday's 34-28 overtime victory over the Atlanta Falcons in Super Bowl LI.
Brady singled out Julian Edelman for making a superlative catch during the fourth quarter, trapping the ball as it bounced off Falcons defenders before securing it at the last possible moment.

On the same drive, the Patriots punched in a touchdown and a two-point conversion, sending the game into overtime.
"It was one of the greatest catches I've ever seen. I don't know how the hell he caught it. I don't think he does. That's the way it goes," Brady said during his postgame press conference.
Brady noted the Patriots' penchant for late-game comebacks in recent Super Bowls. Two years ago, the Patriots trailed the Seattle Seahawks 24-14 entering the fourth quarter of Super Bowl XLIX, but prevailed with a 28-24 victory when Malcolm Butler recorded an interception at the 1-yard line.
New England was down 21-3 at halftime and the game seemed all but over when Atlanta's Tevin Coleman caught a 6-yard touchdown pass, giving his club a 28-3 lead. However, the Patriots roared back, capped off by two scores from running back James White.
"Two years it came down to Malcolm to making that play. This year, down 25 points, it's hard to imagine us winning," Brady said.
"At halftime, we weren't down at all. We were disappointed in the way we played and knew we could do a lot better."
Brady captured the fifth Super Bowl of his career and he'll be sure to thank Edelman for a catch that will forever be remembered.
