Peyton Manning appears on 'Modern Family'

Peyton Manning sure is enjoying retirement.

His first full season retired from football has given him plenty of new opportunities, including an appearance on hit ABC show "Modern Family" on Wednesday night.

Manning played "Coach Gary," who is hired by Gloria (played by Sofia Vergara) to take care of tasks around the home, and ends up striking up a friendship with Jay (Ed O'Neill).

It may not be his last coaching role.

Oh, and of course, some throwing was involved.
