Benny Sieu / USA TODAY Sports
Minnesota Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer missed time during the 2016 season after undergoing emergency surgery to repair a detached retina in his right eye, and he isn't in the clear yet.
Zimmer is scheduled to undergo two additional surgeries on his eye, ESPN's Kevin Seifert reports.
Zimmer told reporters at the scouting combine his hope is the surgeries will help restore the limited vision in his eye. He also said doctors have informed him it's likely he will experience similar problems in his left eye.
