Mixon runs 40 in 4.43 on pro day
Draft prospect Joe Mixon wasn't invited to the scouting combine so he's taking to impressing NFL executives at his pro day on Wednesday. He began by running a 4.43 in the 40-yard dash.

Among his other measurables, the running back reportedly registered a 35-inch vertical and weighed in at 228 pounds on his 6-foot-1 frame.
Mixon represents a moral dilemma for the NFL. The Oklahoma product has displayed the skills that warrants a first-round draft pick. However, he was caught on film punching a woman in the face in 2014.
Video of former NFL running back Ray Rice punching his then-fiancee in a hotel elevator - and his declining skills - resulted in the end of his football playing career. It remains to be seen whether a team will use a draft pick to select Mixon now that the league has toughened its stance on domestic violence and violence of all kinds against women.
