Report: Texans aren't willing to trade for Cowboys' Romo
Tim Heitman / USA TODAY Sports
The Houston Texans will not be trading for Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo after reportedly sending quarterback Brock Osweiler and two draft picks to the Cleveland Browns, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports.
Such a development doesn't mean the Texans would be opposed to signing Romo should he be released.
The Texans are in the market for a new signal-caller after sending away their 2016 starter, and Romo has long been rumored as a potential target.
The Cowboys are likely to move on from Romo after rookie Dak Prescott ascended to the starting role and provided a Rookie of the Year season.
