Report: Pryor needs Pro Bowl-type season to earn full $8M in 2017
Terrelle Pryor opted to bet on himself in free agency by signing a one-year deal with the Washington Redskins worth a reported $8 million.
The receiver's deal contains $6 million in guaranteed money, with $2 million available in incentives; Pryor will reportedly have to produce a Pro Bowl-type season to earn the entirety of his contract.
Specifically, the additional $2 million is broken down into incentives based on receiving yards, catches, and touchdowns, a source told Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio.
Pryor would need 80 catches ($1M), 1,250 yards ($500K), and 10 touchdowns ($500K) to earn the full value. Here's the breakdown:
| Target | Payout |
|---|---|
| 60 catches | $250K |
| 70 catches | $600K |
| 80 catches | $1M |
| 750 yards | $150K |
| 1000 yards | $300K |
| 1250 yards | $500K |
| 6 TDs | $100K |
| 8 TDs | $300K |
| 10 TDs | $500K |
Pryor had 77 catches for 1,007 yards and four touchdowns with the Cleveland Browns last season, so he'll need to make substantial gains in production. He should have plenty of opportunities, though, as the clear No. 1 receiver in Washington.
