Seahawks' Earl Thomas: Said to be ahead of schedule in rehab

Head coach Pete Carroll said Thomas (leg) is way ahead of schedule in his recovery from a broken tibia, John Boyle of Seahawks.com reports.

Analysis:

Thomas suffered the injury in Week 13 and was placed on injured reserve shortly thereafter. He mentioned the possibility of retirement on his Twitter account in December, and while broken tibias do require a lengthy rehab process, Thomas has apparently moved past any thought of hanging up the cleats. Though he may be absent from the offseason program and limited in training camp, he seems to be on track for Week 1.
