Kaepernick to help ship water, food to Somalia in donated airplane
While some wonder why Colin Kaepernick hasn't found a new team and franchises reportedly fear the quarterback's contemptuous online relationship with Donald Trump, the man in question is on his own mission.
Kaepernick was part of a successful effort to convince Turkish Airlines to donate a plane in order to ship food and water to Somalia, he announced Friday.
We got the plane! Now it's time to raise funds for food and water. You can donate at https://t.co/5BzrLjT3SO #LoveArmyForSomalia pic.twitter.com/sAKX2t9tdd

The former San Francisco 49ers quarterback has teamed with actor Ben Stiller and other humanitarians, along with the American Refugee Committee working in Somalia. A GoFundMe page created Friday to raise money for food and water received over $165,000 in donations toward a $1-million goal in four hours.
