6 teams that should opt out of wearing Color Rush unis

The league meetings are set to get underway and among the rule and bylaw changes proposed was one coming from the Washington Redskins that would allow teams to opt out of wearing Color Rush uniforms for Thursday Night Football.

Luckily, theScore's resident fashion experts, Mitch Sanderson and Michael McClymont, are on hand to help distinguish which teams should hope to never again don monochrome uniforms.

Lions

While they certainly look like more intimidating Lions in all-black, the team got rid of the black in their logo and uniform this offseason. They'd likely be better off with an all-silver look, anyways. - McClymont

Jaguars

Unless you're really into the "I just puked all over myself" look, there's no reason why you wouldn't do everything in your power to avoid wearing these things. - Sanderson

Patriots

In the Patriots' march to the Super Bowl, can you recall catching a glimpse of any fans wearing the Pats' Color Rush jersey? No. That's because they're entirely forgettable. I mean, it's their regular uniform with a rainbow stripe on the shoulder. Yawn. - McClymont

Redskins

Washington was correct to propose this option. And as much as I would like to see an offensive line made of five guys who look like Big Bird, they were also correct to not actually wear these last year. - Sanderson

Buccaneers

The Buccaneers' blood-red look wasn't any worse than their regular uniforms, but if they're to get new Color Rush unis next year, does that mean they'll be head to toe in pewter? - McClymont

Seahawks

You know that guy on St. Patrick's Day who is trying way too hard to convince everyone he's Irish by wearing as much green as possible? That guy is the Seahawks, except not on St. Patrick's Day. - Sanderson
