Report: Seahawks want 'very good player plus high draft pick' for Sherman

The Seattle Seahawks won't trade Richard Sherman unless they get a major haul in return, according to a new report.

Seattle has made it clear it won't consider trading the star cornerback unless the return includes "a very good player plus a high draft pick," a source told Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald.

Both Seahawks general manager John Schneider and Sherman himself have openly discussed the fact that Sherman is on the market, but neither side seems to believe a deal is likely.

Several teams, including the New England Patriots, have reportedly inquired about trading for Sherman, but whatever the Seahawks were offered, it wasn't enough for the club to pull the trigger on a deal.

Sherman, who just turned 29, has two years remaining on his contract at $11.4 million this year and $11 million the next.
