Report: Sherman initiated trade talks, Seahawks trying to honor request

The Seattle Seahawks don't necessarily want to trade cornerback Richard Sherman as much as he wants to leave the team.
Sherman is the party that initiated talk of a trade and the Seahawks are merely trying to oblige him, ESPN's Adam Schefter said on television last week and reiterated Monday.
As Schefter notes, the dynamic remains the same, with Sherman wanting out of Seattle and the team perhaps not sharing the sentiment but discussing the parameters of a potential deal with other teams.
Both Sherman and Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll have stated they believe a trade is unlikely, but it seems to get a little more likely with every new detail we learn about the situation.
