Cousins raves about Pryor's football IQ: 'He's been a joy to work with'
Washington Redskins quarterback Kirk Cousins may have a new favorite weapon entering the fall.
After the Redskins signed wide receiver Terrelle Pryor to a one-year, $8-million contract, he's already earning excellent reviews from his quarterback during practice sessions.
Pryor is a converted quarterback and Cousins raved about his new target's football intelligence and acumen.
"I like it because I've never had a conversation with a receiver like I've had with him where he said, 'Yeah, it was two-invert, so I took it to the post. It was quarters on the backside,'" Cousins said of Pryor on WJFK-FM. "He really can see it and he's going to hold me accountable, so you take the good with the bad. I love it.
"He's an enthusiastic guy. He's always wanting to run another route. 'Let's try it again, let's do it again,' just a positive attitude and he's been a joy to work with thus far."
Pryor caught 77 passes for 1,007 yards and four touchdowns last season with the Cleveland Browns. Joining a team that holds a measure of stability at quarterback, Pryor could be in for the best season of his career with the Redskins.
