Round 1
Pick | Player | Owner |
---|---|---|
1 | David Johnson (RB1) | Levine |
2 | Ezekiel Elliott (RB2) | Dickson |
3 | Le'Veon Bell (RB3) | Srinivasan |
4 | Julio Jones (WR1) | Browne |
5 | Antonio Brown (WR2) | Woods |
6 | Odell Beckham Jr. (WR3) | Sanderson |
7 | LeSean McCoy (RB4) | Boone |
8 | Melvin Gordon (RB5) | Holroyd |
9 | Mike Evans (WR4) | Bottero |
10 | A.J. Green (WR5) | Wilkins |
11 | Devonta Freeman (RB6) | McClymont |
12 | Jordy Nelson (WR6) | Amato |
13 | Jordan Howard (RB7) | McLaren |
14 | Jay Ajayi (RB8) | Wegman |
Round 1: The draft opened with a slight surprise, as Elliott went second overall ahead of Bell. An argument can be made for Zeke having another huge season, but it's tough to pass on Bell, who might be the best running back in football. ... Jones being taken before Brown or Beckham is also a change from our previous mocks. This one is far more open to debate, as all three players have about an equal chance of finishing as the top fantasy receiver in 2017.
Round 2
Pick | Player | Owner |
---|---|---|
15 | DeMarco Murray (RB9) | Wegman |
16 | Dez Bryant (WR7) | McLaren |
17 | Todd Gurley (RB10) | Amato |
18 | Leonard Fournette (RB11) | McClymont |
19 | Michael Thomas (WR8) | Wilkins |
20 | T.Y. Hilton (WR9) | Bottero |
21 | Isaiah Crowell (RB12) | Holroyd |
22 | Amari Cooper (WR10) | Boone |
23 | DeAndre Hopkins (WR11) | Sanderson |
24 | Lamar Miller (RB13) | Woods |
25 | Rob Gronkowski (TE1) | Browne |
26 | Doug Baldwin (WR12) | Srinivasan |
27 | Allen Robinson (WR13) | Dickson |
28 | Carlos Hyde (RB14) | Levine |
Round 2: Taking safer picks is a smart approach in the early rounds, especially in larger leagues like this one. While many of the players available in the second round are trustworthy, Gurley and Hyde carry far more risk than the other names called here. Missing on a top pick in a 14-team league could be a death blow for your roster. ... Seeing Crowell go off the board in the second might be a sign that his stock is finally on the rise. The bad news is that he was a much more attractive target in the third or fourth round.
Round 3
Pick | Player | Owner |
---|---|---|
29 | Sammy Watkins (WR14) | Levine |
30 | Travis Kelce (TE2) | Dickson |
31 | Marshawn Lynch (RB15) | Srinivasan |
32 | Brandin Cooks (WR15) | Browne |
33 | Joe Mixon (RB16) | Woods |
34 | Christian McCaffrey (RB17) | Sanderson |
35 | Davante Adams (WR16) | Boone |
36 | Keenan Allen (WR17) | Holroyd |
37 | Alshon Jeffery (WR18) | Bottero |
38 | Eddie Lacy (RB18) | Wilkins |
39 | Demaryius Thomas (WR19) | McClymont |
40 | Jarvis Landry (WR20) | Amato |
41 | Terrelle Pryor (WR21) | McLaren |
42 | Michael Crabtree (WR22) | Wegman |
Round 3: This seems like a bit of a reach for Kelce, but with the release of Jeremy Maclin, his role in the Chiefs passing game is undeniable. Kelce is one of the few tight ends who could be his team's leading receiver. ... Team Browne and Team Bottero are the only rosters without a running back through three rounds. In a deep league like this one, starting-caliber rushers dry up quickly, so we'll see how that pans out as the draft progresses.
Round 4
Pick | Player | Owner |
---|---|---|
43 | Emmanuel Sanders (WR23) | Wegman |
44 | Ty Montgomery (RB19) | McLaren |
45 | C.J. Anderson (RB20) | Amato |
46 | Larry Fitzgerald (WR24) | McClymont |
47 | Jordan Reed (TE3) | Wilkins |
48 | Spencer Ware (RB21) | Bottero |
49 | Golden Tate (WR25) | Holroyd |
50 | Paul Perkins (RB22) | Boone |
51 | Julian Edelman (WR26) | Sanderson |
52 | Kelvin Benjamin (WR27) | Woods |
53 | Aaron Rodgers (QB1) | Browne |
54 | Greg Olsen (TE4) | Srinivasan |
55 | Stefon Diggs (WR28) | Dickson |
56 | Tom Brady (QB2) | Levine |
Round 4: To get an idea of the state of the running back position, look no further than this round, where Montgomery, Anderson, Ware, and Perkins are selected. All four backs have decent upside, but carry significant doubts as well. ... On that note, Team Browne still doesn't have a running back. Instead, he's chosen to invest in the high-powered passing offenses of the Patriots, Packers, and Falcons with his first four picks. It will be difficult to find quality backs moving forward, but his roster looks good so far.
Round 5
Pick | Player | Owner |
---|---|---|
57 | Donte Moncrief (WR29) | Levine |
58 | Drew Brees (QB3) | Dickson |
59 | Tyreek Hill (WR30) | Srinivasan |
60 | Ameer Abdullah (RB23) | Browne |
61 | Adrian Peterson (RB24) | Woods |
62 | Dalvin Cook (RB25) | Sanderson |
63 | Martavis Bryant (WR31) | Boone |
64 | Pierre Garcon (WR32) | Holroyd |
65 | Frank Gore (RB26) | Bottero |
66 | Brandon Marshall (WR33) | Wilkins |
67 | Andrew Luck (QB4) | McClymont |
68 | Martellus Bennett (TE5) | Amato |
69 | Tyler Eifert (TE6) | McLaren |
70 | DeSean Jackson (WR34) | Wegman |
Round 5: With all the positive reports coming out of OTAs, Peterson gets drafted before Ingram. It's still likely both players see plenty of action, but Ingram doesn't seem to have the coaching staff on his side in this battle. ... I lean toward upside with my fifth pick, taking Bryant, who is capable of being a major weekly difference-maker. ... In our 12-team mock, the top-four quarterbacks didn't go off the board until the 87th pick, 20 spots later than Luck gets taken here. Perhaps teams are scared of missing out on the elite passers, but there are more than 14 solid starting options at the position.
Round 6
Pick | Player | Owner |
---|---|---|
71 | Jimmy Graham (TE7) | Wegman |
72 | Corey Coleman (WR35) | McLaren |
73 | Randall Cobb (WR36) | Amato |
74 | Mark Ingram (RB27) | McClymont |
75 | Mike Gillislee (RB28) | Wilkins |
76 | Bilal Powell (RB29) | Bottero |
77 | Delanie Walker (TE8) | Holroyd |
78 | Tevin Coleman (RB30) | Boone |
79 | Derrick Henry (RB31) | Sanderson |
80 | DeVante Parker (WR37) | Woods |
81 | Samaje Perine (RB32) | Browne |
82 | Russell Wilson (QB5) | Srinivasan |
83 | Theo Riddick (RB33) | Dickson |
84 | Willie Snead (WR38) | Levine |
Round 6: After six rounds we have a better idea of how Team Browne and Team Bottero are filling out their running back positions. Team Browne has done well, adding Abdullah and Perine, who are both garnering positive reports heading into 2017, while Team Bottero settled for Ware, Gore, and Powell. Neither team is in an ideal spot, but I'd rather have the potential of Abdullah and Perine over the lower-ceiling of Team Bottero's trio. ... Elsewhere, Riddick seems like a big reach for a standard draft. The pass-catching back is coming off wrist surgeries and is much more valuable in PPR leagues.
Round 7
Pick | Player | Owner |
---|---|---|
85 | Doug Martin (RB34) | Levine |
86 | Corey Davis (WR39) | Dickson |
87 | Jamison Crowder (WR40) | Srinivasan |
88 | John Brown (WR41) | Browne |
89 | Kyle Rudolph (TE9) | Woods |
90 | Hunter Henry (TE10) | Sanderson |
91 | Kareem Hunt (RB35) | Boone |
92 | LeGarrette Blount (RB36) | Holroyd |
93 | C.J. Prosise (RB37) | Bottero |
94 | Cam Newton (QB6) | Wilkins |
95 | Mike Williams (WR42) | McClymont |
96 | Matt Ryan (QB7) | Amato |
97 | Rob Kelley (RB38) | McLaren |
98 | Danny Woodhead (RB39) | Wegman |
Round 7: Martin could be a huge steal here, as Tampa Bay appears to be extremely pleased with his progress. Once his suspension is over, it seems almost certain he'll get his starting job back. ... Reports about Mike Williams' back issue came out during this draft and make him a much bigger gamble as a seventh-round pick. ... Tight ends are going earlier than usual in this 14-teamer, with owners hoping to avoid being left empty-handed at the position.
Round 8
Pick | Player | Owner |
---|---|---|
99 | Tyrell Williams (WR43) | Wegman |
10 | Latavius Murray (RB40) | McLaren |
101 | Dion Lewis (RB41) | Amato |
102 | Jeremy Maclin (WR44) | McClymont |
103 | Rex Burkhead (RB42) | Wilkins |
104 | Cameron Meredith (WR45) | Bottero |
105 | Matt Forte (RB43) | Holroyd |
106 | Eric Decker (WR46) | Boone |
107 | Jordan Matthews (WR47) | Sanderson |
108 | Mike Wallace (WR48) | Woods |
109 | Alvin Kamara (RB44) | Browne |
110 | Jonathan Stewart (RB45) | Srinivasan |
111 | Breshad Perriman (WR49) | Dickson |
112 | Adam Thielen (WR50) | Levine |
Round 8: We don't know where they're going to be playing in 2017, but Maclin and Decker are well worth an eighth-round pick. Both players could be consistent producers if they land in the right situation. ... Tyrell Williams might be undervalued, assuming the back injury to Mike Williams slows down the development of the rookie. ... Overall, it's clear the receiver talent left on the board in the eighth round is far greater than that of the running backs, which you should keep in mind for your drafts.
Round 9
Pick | Player | Owner |
---|---|---|
113 | Kenneth Dixon (RB46) | Levine |
114 | Jamaal Williams (RB47) | Dickson |
115 | Darren Sproles (RB48) | Srinivasan |
116 | Josh Doctson (WR51) | Browne |
117 | D'Onta Foreman (RB49) | Woods |
118 | Marcus Mariota (QB8) | Sanderson |
119 | Kenny Britt (WR52) | Boone |
120 | Jameis Winston (QB9) | Holroyd |
121 | Jamaal Charles (RB50) | Bottero |
122 | John Ross (WR53) | Wilkins |
123 | Jack Doyle (TE11) | McClymont |
124 | Cole Beasley (WR54) | Amato |
125 | Kirk Cousins (QB10) | McLaren |
126 | Derek Carr (QB11) | Wegman |
Round 9: I rolled the dice by passing on a tight end in this round in favor of Britt, who's looking like the Browns' No. 1 receiver. It was a dangerous move on my part, but I thought Doyle or Ebron would fall to me in the 10th. ... Foreman and Jamaal Williams are more intriguing options than any of the backs that went in the previous round. The pair of rookies are an injury away from starring roles in strong offenses.
Round 10
Pick | Player | Owner |
---|---|---|
127 | Darren McFadden (RB51) | Wegman |
128 | Kevin White (WR55) | McLaren |
129 | J.J. Nelson (WR56) | Amato |
130 | Joe Williams (RB52) | McClymont |
131 | Duke Johnson (RB53) | Wilkins |
132 | Eric Ebron (TE12) | Bottero |
133 | Sterling Shepard (WR57) | Holroyd |
134 | Jonathan Williams (RB54) | Boone |
135 | Thomas Rawls (RB55) | Sanderson |
136 | Giovani Bernard (RB56) | Woods |
137 | Jacquizz Rodgers (RB57) | Browne |
138 | Rishard Matthews (WR58) | Srinivasan |
139 | Will Fuller (WR59) | Dickson |
140 | Zach Ertz (TE13) | Levine |
Round 10: The risk I took at tight end didn't pay off as Ebron was selected two spots before my pick in this round. With a drop off at tight end after Ebron, I decided to grab Jonathan Williams, giving me a handcuff for my first-rounder McCoy. ... At this point in a 14-team draft, the players you select may not stay on your roster long, so it's important to swing for upside or to find usable pieces, like Rodgers. The Buccaneers back is slated to start early in the season while Martin serves his suspension, making him a possible RB2 for the first three weeks.
Round 11
Pick | Player | Owner |
---|---|---|
141 | Terrance West (RB58) | Levine |
142 | Zay Jones (WR60) | Dickson |
143 | James White (RB59) | Srinivasan |
144 | Ted Ginn (WR61) | Browne |
145 | Ben Roethlisberger (QB12) | Woods |
146 | Kenny Stills (WR62) | Sanderson |
147 | Coby Fleener (TE14) | Boone |
148 | Robert Woods (WR63) | Holroyd |
149 | Charles Sims (RB60) | Bottero |
150 | Marvin Jones (WR64) | Wilkins |
151 | Quincy Enunwa (WR65) | McClymont |
152 | Jeremy Hill (RB61) | Amato |
153 | Curtis Samuel (WR66) | McLaren |
154 | Tyler Lockett (WR67) | Wegman |
Round 11: West is in a similar situation to Rodgers in the previous round, but he'll be competing with Woodhead during the first month when Dixon is sidelined. ... I settled for Fleener as my TE1, which is not my first choice, but he did finish as the TE12 in standard leagues last year. Hopefully he'll be more comfortable in New Orleans this season. ... Enunwa is a very good pick this late in the draft. With Decker expected to be moved, Enunwa may find himself as the Jets' top receiver.
Round 12
Pick | Player | Owner |
---|---|---|
155 | James Conner (RB62) | Wegman |
156 | Wendell Smallwood (RB63) | McLaren |
157 | Branden Oliver (RB64) | Amato |
158 | Jerick McKinnon (RB65) | McClymont |
159 | DeAndre Washington (RB66) | Wilkins |
160 | Dak Prescott (QB13) | Bottero |
161 | Allen Hurns (WR68) | Holroyd |
162 | Tyrod Taylor (QB14) | Boone |
163 | Philip Rivers (QB15) | Sanderson |
164 | Matthew Stafford (QB16) | Woods |
165 | Marlon Mack (RB67) | Browne |
166 | Devin Funchess (WR69) | Srinivasan |
167 | Shane Vereen (RB68) | Dickson |
168 | Taylor Gabriel (WR70) | Levine |
Round 12: The case for taking a quarterback late speaks for itself here, as Prescott, Taylor, Rivers, and Stafford are all available in the last round. While others finalize their roster with long shot running backs and receivers, Team Bottero and I select our starting quarterbacks, who both finished among the top-eight in 2016.
