Eagles waive Dorial Green-Beckham
The Philadelphia Eagles waived wide receiver Dorial Green-Beckham on Friday, ending his disappointing tenure with the team less than one year after it traded for him.
Green-Beckham, a second-round pick of the Tennessee Titans in 2015, was acquired by the Eagles last August in exchange for offensive lineman Dennis Kelly. His 6-foot-5 frame and complementary speed made him an intriguing prospect for an Eagles team in desperate need of receivers, but he was generally ineffective and Philadelphia signed veteran wideouts Torrey Smith and Alshon Jeffery this offseason.
Green-Beckham, who's had his off-field behavior questioned in the past, managed only 392 yards and two scores in a Philly uniform. He posted 549 yards and four touchdowns for the Titans as a rookie.
In a corresponding move, the Eagles signed undrafted Tulsa quarterback Dane Evans to a three-year contract.
