Florida senator Marco Rubio, a lifelong Miami Dolphins fan, has an idea on how to get Tom Brady out of the NFL ahead of the coming season.
While addressing New York Jets owner Woody Johnson, who was nominated as U.S. ambassador to the United Kingdom, during his confirmation hearing Thursday, Rubio jokingly suggested they find a similar job for the New England Patriots quarterback.
"I think you and I agree the country would be well served if a certain Thomas Brady of Massachusetts were nominated ambassador to Brazil," Rubio said. "Perhaps that could be arranged before September of this year."
Brady's wife, Gisele Bundchen, is from Brazil.
