Green Bay Packers tight end Martellus Bennett sent a direct message to the NFL's younger players Monday: There's more to life than football.

Earlier in the day, New York Jets rookie safety Jamal Adams said he would be at peace with dying on the field, when asked about the risks concerning player safety and CTE.

"Literally, if I had a perfect place to die, I would die on the field. I would be at peace. Literally. That's not a lie," Adams said via The Associated Press.

Adams drew applause from the room, and his sentiment didn't sit well with Bennett.

Bennett's passion for the game can't be questioned, coming off a Super Bowl victory last season with the New England Patriots and his remarks are an important reminder that football careers are finite.
