Titans owner on 2018 uniform overhaul: 'It's not minor'
The Tennessee Titans will have a substantially different look when they take the field in 2018.
The team previously announced it was at work with Nike designing new uniforms, and now team owner Amy Adams Strunk is promising big changes.
“It’s not minor. It’s not a total color change or anything like that. I think everybody is going to be very pleased with where it went," Strunk told NFL reporter Paul Kuharsky.
"Like with a lot of changes around here, we were due a change. We’ll roll it out before the season, they’ll get to see it. I’m not sure for what yet, or when. … It’s going to be so fun."
"It’s going to be totally updated. I think the fans are going to be excited. I’m not seeing other teams have anything close to what we will have."
Nike has assisted in redesigning several NFL uniforms since the company took over as the league's official jersey provider in 2012. However, several of those uniforms - including the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Cleveland Browns - were very poorly received and continue to find their way onto "ugliest uniforms in sports" rankings.
