Watch: 500-lb Jared Lorenzen launches weight-loss project
The Jared Lorenzen Project/Facebook
Jared Lorenzen is ready to shed the "Hefty Lefty" nickname.
The former NFL quarterback, who last played for the Northern Kentucky River Monsters of the Continental Indoor Football League in 2014, has always been on the heavier side, but since ballooning to over 500 pounds last year he's decided to start taking his health more seriously. He'll be documenting his weight-loss journey through "The Jared Lorenzen Project," and shared a preview Friday on Facebook.
"Right now, if I didn't wake up tomorrow, it wouldn't be a shock to many people," Lorenzen says in the video. "'Well, yeah, well look how big he is. Damn.'"
"The Jared Lorenzen Project" will go live on the Now Lets Get Fit Foundation website beginning Sept. 18.
