Houston Texans offensive lineman David Quessenberry provided a remarkable example of the human spirit Wednesday.
When Quessenberry suited up for the Texans' preseason game against the Carolina Panthers, it marked his first contest since being diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma in June 2014. The 26-year-old completed treatment for cancer in April 2017 and returned for organized team activities the following month.
Ahead of his latest triumph, Quessenberry's family was on hand to see him play.
Quessenberry is fighting to crack the team's rotation at guard, and it's hard to bet against him at this juncture of his career.
