The Buffalo Bills have traded linebacker Reggie Ragland to the Kansas City Chiefs in exchange for a 2019 fourth-round pick.
Ragland was selected in the second round by the Bills in 2016 and missed his rookie season with a torn ACL. He had been seen as a fit in the Bills' 3-4 system under former head coach Rex Ryan, but less so in new coach Sean McDermott's 4-3 scheme.
This is the third player the Bills have traded since hiring new general manager Brandon Beane in June.
In Kansas City, the former SEC Defensive Player of the Year will likely get a chance to start at inside linebacker beside veteran Derrick Johnson.
