The Houston Texans and Dallas Cowboys will donate proceeds from Thursday's preseason game to United Way to assist with Hurricane Harvey relief efforts, the Texans announced in a press release.
Texans owner Bob McNair asserted Monday his club will donate $1 million to the United Way of Greater Houston Flood Relief Fund, with both the Cowboys and the NFL Foundation matching their pledge.
Tickets will cost $25 and will go on sale Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. ET.
The Texans were originally scheduled to host the contest, but the Cowboys stepped in to hold the game at AT&T Stadium, with the NFL citing public safety concerns.
Texans superstar J.J. Watt has raised over $3.25 million in relief efforts and set a new target of $4 million to go toward victims of Hurricane Harvey.
This is truly unbelievable.
