Terrell Owens believes it's a joke that he's no longer in NFL
Terrell Owens hasn't suited up on a football field in five years but ardently believes he should still be in the NFL.
Owens last signed with the Seattle Seahawks in 2012 but was released before the season started.
Nonetheless, the five-time All-Pro believes a team should sign him before the season begins.
“Me not being on the field right now is a joke,” Owens said on Fox Sports Radio with Eric Dickerson. “I don’t care what people say. Even though I’m 43, trust me, I’m not your average 43-year-old.”
"Even when I was 35, 36, 37 they said I was too old, but I was still ballin’ out with the 20-year-olds. I can go out right now and give you a 4.4 (in the 40),” Owens added.
One of the greatest wide receivers of all time, Owens has ample reason to be confident. Whether a team presents an offer to him based off his own self-assessment remains to be seen.
