Former NFL corner joins season 35 of 'Survivor'
Former NFL cornerback Alan Ball will be featured on season 35 of "Survivor" when the reality-show staple debuts Sept. 27.
Ball will follow in the footsteps of such ex-NFLers as Brad Culpepper and Gary Hogeboom, and former coach Jimmy Johnson, who made a short stint on the show in 2010.
"Playing football has fed my drive to compete physically for a long time," Ball said in his show bio. "Of course there are mental aspects but I feel like this is competing mentally, physically, and strategically. I also want to win on my own merit - no coaches, no practice - just me winning outside of something I've done for years."
Ball played for the Dallas Cowboys, Houston Texans, Jacksonville Jaguars, and finished his nine-year career with the Chicago Bears in 2015.
