The Dallas Cowboys and three-time Pro Bowl guard Zack Martin have stopped discussions regarding a new contract extension until after the 2017 season, ESPN's Todd Archer reports.
One of the premier players at his position, Martin is expected to challenge Cleveland Browns guard Kevin Zeitler's $12-million yearly average with his first NFL extension.
Martin was named a first-team All-Pro in 2014 and 2016 and a second-team All-Pro in 2015. He is under contract through the 2018 season after Dallas exercised the fifth-year option on his rookie deal.
