Report: Ravens' Woodhead expected to miss 6-8 weeks; candidate for IR
Baltimore Ravens running back Danny Woodhead is expected to miss six-to-eight weeks with a hamstring injury, making him a candidate to be placed on injured reserve, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
It was reported earlier on Tuesday that Woodhead would be out four-to-six weeks with the injury, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
If Woodhead is placed on IR, he would be eligible to return after eight games.
Woodhead left Sunday's victory over the Cincinnati Bengals with the injury and did not return.
The 32-year-old has been plagued with injuries in recent years, missing the majority of the 2014 and 2016 seasons because of ailments.
With Woodhead sidelined, expect Javorius Allen to see an increase in snaps to go along with Terrance West in the backfield.
