Cardinals officially place RB David Johnson on IR

David Johnson will officially miss the next eight weeks after the Arizona Cardinals placed the star running back on injured reserve Tuesday.
Johnson is reportedly set to be out two-to-three months after he undergoes wrist surgery. He incurred the injury Sunday against the Detroit Lions after picking up a total of 91 yards on 17 touches.
The 25-year-old will be eligible to return Week 11 when the Cardinals face the Houston Texans, missing both of his team's prime-time contests, but his return to action could be even later.
The third-year back was moved to IR to make room for the return of veteran runner Chris Johnson, who was released at the end of training camp.
