Derek Carr isn't expected to return from a back injury suffered Sunday for at least two weeks, but the Oakland Raiders quarterback isn't letting the rust build up.
Carr went through stretches and threw some passes early in practice Wednesday before handing first-team reps over to EJ Manuel, according to ESPN's Paul Gutierrez,
With his return timeline reportedly varying between two and six weeks, even a few throws in practice is an optimistic sign for Carr.
