Free-agent quarterback Colin Kaepernick was invited by players to attend the next meeting with NFL owners, and he plans on accepting the invitation, according to Charles Robinson of Yahoo Sports.
Kaepernick wasn't in attendance at a recent meeting held between several players and owners. Active players Josh Norman and Malcolm Jenkins were present, as well as recently retired receiver Anquan Boldin.

Kaepernick's lawyer refuted reports that his client was invited to the event and chose to decline.
The two sides vowed to meet for a follow-up discussion after the initial meeting lasted nearly four hours.
