Giants suspend Janoris Jenkins indefinitely for violating team rules
The New York Giants have suspended star cornerback Janoris Jenkins indefinitely for a violation of team rules, the team announced Tuesday.
Jenkins will, therefore, miss Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Rams.
"As a member of this team, there are standards and we have responsibilities and obligations," said coach Ben McAdoo. "When we don't fulfill those obligations, there are consequences. As I have said before, we do not like to handle our team discipline publicly. There are times when it is unavoidable, and this is one of those times."
McAdoo said he will review the status of Jenkins' suspension next week.
It's the second team suspension of the season for the Giants. New York banned cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie for one game after he got into an argument with McAdoo over his playing time in Week 5
