Texans' Clowney: 'Everybody was upset' about trading Duane Brown

Matthew Emmons / USA TODAY Sports

Houston Texans defensive end Jadeveon Clowney, who's emerged as the leader of the defense following injuries to J.J. Watt and Whitney Mercilus, isn't happy about his team's activity at the trade deadline.

The Texans sent three-time Pro Bowl offensive tackle Duane Brown to the Seattle Seahawks in exchange for draft picks.

"Everybody was upset," Clowney said, according to Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle.

The Texans were originally supposed to receive cornerback Jeremy Lane from the Seahawks, but after he failed his physical, the trade was altered to include superior draft selections.

Brown has one more season left on his current contract at a base salary of $9.75 million.
