Eagles, Jeffery sign 4-year extension worth reported $52M

The Philadelphia Eagles signed wide receiver Alshon Jeffery to a four-year contract extension through the 2021 season, the team announced Saturday.
The Eagles didn't release the terms of the deal, but a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter that Jeffery will earn $52 million over four years, with another $1 million per year in incentives. Jeffery's new extension also contains $27 million in guarantees, Schefter added.
Jeffery initially signed a one-year "prove it" deal with Philadelphia in the offseason.
The pass-catcher is on pace for a 900-yard, 10-touchdown campaign, and has quickly developed a connection with MVP candidate Carson Wentz.
Jeffery's $13-million average salary would tie him for seventh at the position with T.Y. Hilton.
